Nigeria's research record on digital health, insurance behaviour, and student wellness — in one place.

Researchng.com is the research and digital-footprint hub for Doktorconnect's work across Nigeria — currently spanning universal health coverage research with NHIA, a three-portal student health insurance platform serving 271 tertiary institutions, a completed telemedicine pilot at Federal Medical Centre Owo, and a tertiary staff wellness fund covering 155,000 academic workers.

Each study below has its own live subdomain — its own tools, its own data, its own evidence. This page is the index.

NHIA Lot 1 — Expanding Coverage: Understanding Drivers of Awareness, Enrolment, Participation and Retention in Health Insurance in Nigeria
Submitted · Awaiting Evaluation

A 9-state, all-6-zone convergent mixed-methods study for the National Health Insurance Authority, featuring the Delta–Akwa Ibom natural experiment — the first study to frame the 15× SSHIA coverage gap between two geographically matched Niger Delta states as a natural experiment isolating governance as the causal driver. Built around the original Behavioural Readiness Module (BRM), an 8-barrier psychological diagnostic instrument.

DoktorConnect Telemedicine Pilot — Chronic Disease Outcomes at Federal Medical Centre Owo
Complete · Manuscript Ready

A 40-participant single-arm pilot evaluating the Doktorconnect telemedicine platform paired with a 6-in-1 monitoring device for adults with cardiovascular risk factors, over a 90-day protocol. Demonstrated statistically significant reductions in systolic blood pressure and serum creatinine. Five longitudinal follow-on protocols — including a 210-participant multi-site RCT — have been designed from the pilot's limitations.
